I Sat in Front of ChatGPT for 10 Hours… Because of One Blog
A little while ago, I wrote a blog based on a talk Stephanie Quantrill made at a Vouch event. "Everyone is not your target market"
I didn’t think too much of it at the time.
But it got a surprising amount of interest.
People were reading it… sharing it… replying to it…
And it got me thinking.
Why did that land so well?
It wasn’t because it was “well written”.
It was because it hit something a lot of business owners are quietly struggling with:
“Who am I actually trying to attract?”
Not in a fluffy, theoretical way.
In a real, practical way.
Because when you don’t know that… everything else becomes hard.
Your content feels like guesswork.
Your messaging feels vague.
Your marketing feels like effort.
Then I had a bit of a moment…
I thought to myself:
In the age of AI… surely there’s a better way to do this.
Small business owners shouldn’t need to:
- Hire a strategist
- Sit through workshops
- Spend weeks figuring this out
There had to be a way to make this simpler. Faster. More accessible.
So I did what any normal person would do…
I sat in front of ChatGPT for 10 hours straight.
And just… started building.
No big plan.
No perfect structure.
Just testing, refining, breaking things, fixing things.
Bit of vibe coding, bit of trial and error.
Until something started to click.
That’s how HUNTR was born
I ended up creating a Custom GPT called:
HUNTR
(High-Value User Navigation & Targeting Resource)
Yeah… the acronym’s doing a bit of work 😅
But the idea is simple:
👉 Help you figure out exactly who your ideal client is
👉 Based on real inputs, not guesses
👉 In about 15–20 minutes
What it actually does
You answer a few questions about:
- Clients you’ve loved working with
- The ones that got the best results
- The ones you’d happily work with again
And HUNTR builds out:
- A clear ideal client profile
- What they care about
- What they’re trying to solve
- How they make decisions
- What messaging will actually resonate
- And just as importantly… who to avoid
It’ll even generate a visual “look” of your ideal client, which is oddly helpful.
Why I built this
Because I see this all the time.
People come to me wanting video testimonials.
But they’re not clear on:
- Who they want more of
- What makes them different
- What story they’re actually trying to tell
And I’m sitting there thinking…
We shouldn’t even be talking about video yet.
We should be talking about clarity.
This is that first step
Before:
- The videos
- The ads
- The website tweaks
- The funnels
This is the bit that makes everything else work better.
If you want to check it out
Here’s the original blog that kicked all of this off:
And if you’re curious, you can try HUNTR for yourself.
Takes about 15–20 minutes.
And you’ll walk away with something you can actually use.
Final thought
You don’t need more tactics.
You just need to know who you’re talking to.
Everything else gets easier after that.
Transform your business with video testimonials
Capture the power of customer stories to boost your brand and drive sales.
